Comments 0The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.
Friday
l At 11:23 a.m., a female reported a light colored pit bull with part of a chain attached to its collar tried to bite her 3-year-old daughter. The caller said she was able to get her daughter inside the house before the dog could attack.
l At 4:07 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a female subject walking in south First Street, making vehicles swerve to miss her.
l At 4:45 p.m., a male reported a door stolen from a building project on west Amarosa Avenue.
l At 11:26 p.m., the Conchas Fire Department advised they were at the end of Big Mesa. A male subject had a fishhook in his eye. The subject was transported to the hospital emergency room.
Saturday
l At 9:55 a.m., a female requested an officer to the emergency room at the hospital in reference to a patient with a dog bite to the face.
l At 11:27 a.m., a female came to the Tucumcari Police Department to report someone had been using her Social Security number.
l At 2:02 p.m., the San Miguel County fire department requested assistance from the Conchas Fire Department for a grass fire on Highway 104 near Trementina. Two units from Conchas Fire Department and one unit from Santa Rosa were dispatched.
l At 2:07 p.m., a male requested an officer to his girlfriend's residence on west Robinson Street. The caller said she had hit him with a plate and accused him of hiding drugs. An officer advised the caller was transported to his sister's house.
Sunday
l At 6:33 a.m., State Police called requesting an ambulance for a subject who had rolled his semi on Airport Road just 3.5 miles north of Interstate 40. The subject was transported to the hospital.
l At 9:30 p.m., a male reported an accident with no injuries on south Mountain Road.
l At 11:47 a.m., a Ute Lake State Park officer advised while patrolling, a male stopped him to report his grill was stolen.
Monday
l At 2:59 a.m., a clerk at a motel on south First Street reported a couple arguing in a room, and that a cable to the TV was broken. An officer advised the female subject involved in the argument had been told to come to the station.
l At 5:57 a.m., a male reported his vehicle on east Main Street was broken into. He said a tire and rims were missing from the back of a pickup and the doors were open on his car.
l At 7:11 a.m., a female reported graffiti was sprayed on the side of a building on College Avenue sometime during the night.
l At 9:11 a.m., a female came to the Tucumcari Police Department to report that her neighbor came onto her property on north Second Street and cut down her trees.
l At 9:48 a.m., a female reported the window on a van parked on south Second Street had been broken. An officer advised the rear window was broken out and a special watch would be put on the vehicle until the owner returned.
l At 11:43 a.m., a female came to the Quay County Sheriff's Office to report a video camera and the spare tire were stolen from her vehicle.
l At 2:49 p.m., an anonymous caller reported cattle on Quay Road AJ. A Quay County Sheriff's Office deputy advised he spoke to the owner concerning his bull getting out. The owner said he would keep his bull in from now on.
l At 7:41 p.m., a male reported his property on east Main Street was broken into and a neighbor had some of the missing property.
