Hotel gets gold status
The Comfort Inn and Suites hotel of Clovis recently received a 2010 Gold Hospitality Award from parent company Choice Hotels International
As a top performing property among the company’s more than 4,800 U.S. franchised hotels, the Clovis hotel is among the top 10 percent of properties within the Comfort brand.
It is one of two hotels in the state (along with Hobbs’ Sleep Inn & Suites) and is one of 94 hotels in the Comfort brand to receive gold award status.
Award criteria are evaluated by Choice Hotels through its official annual property ranking report.
ENMR Plateau honored
Tuesday was declared “ENMR Plateau Telecommunications Day” in New Mexico by Gov. Bill Richardson.
A press release from the company said the cooperative was singled out for its 60-year commitment to providing advanced telecommunications services to the citizens of eastern New Mexico and for its various partnerships with local, regional and state entities leading to economic development.
Formed in 1949 as Eastern New Mexico Rural Telephone Cooperative, ENMR Plateau provides advanced telecommunications services to residents in all or parts of 14 eastern New Mexico counties and three in the Texas Panhandle.
