Leal’s to raise funds for United Way
The Leal’s Mexican Restaurant crew is gearing up to give to United Way on Thursday, when 10 percent of sales will go towards United Way of Eastern New Mexico’s fundraising drive.
The organization, which funds charities in Curry and Roosevelt counties, reported last week it is at $481,137 raised, or 83 percent of its goal of $580,000.
Both Leal’s restaurants on Prince Street and Mabry Drive will be participating.
Irrigation company recognized
Irrigation system producer Reinke Manufacturing Inc. announced Newman Electric Company of Clovis has been recognized as one of the five highest-selling dealerships in its south central territory. The business was honored during Reinke’s recent annual convention, held in October in Austin, Texas.
“We are extremely pleased with Newman Electric Company and everything they have accomplished this past year,” Tim Goldhammer, vice president of marketing for Reinke, said in a company release. “We appreciate the commitment Newman Electric Company and their staff have made to help market Reinke irrigation equipment.”
