05-09-08: Police Blotter
Comments 0 | Recommend 0The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:
Tuesday
l At 12:15 a.m., several callers reported a semi-truck on fire on North Mountain Road.
Wednesday
l At 8:24 a.m., a female at a business on East Tucumcari Boulevard reported that a customer had left without paying for meal.
l At 8:35 a.m., a female reported a possible runaway juvenile. Officers advised that they would try and locate the juvenile.
l At 8:47 a.m., a male reported that his front yard on South Tenth Street had been vandalized. An officer advised a special watch would be put on the address.
l At 10:04 a.m., a female, at a business located on East Tucumcari Boulevard, reported that a subject with a warrant out of Curry County was at that location.
l At 12:27 p.m., a female on East Rankin reported a stolen purse.
l At 5:41 p.m., a search warrant was served at a residence on South College Street.
l At 9:17 p.m., a male called Logan Police Department to report an accident with no injuries on 540 Loop in Logan.
Thursday
l At 9:25 a.m., a male reported that were broken windows on South Adams Street. The officer advised a special watch would be placed on the residence.
l At 9:44 a.m., a male reported the theft of four tires on East Tucumcari Boulevard. A Quay County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched.
l At 1:29 p.m., an anonymous caller reported that a female subject, who possibly intoxicated, was on South Jackson Street. The officer advised the subject was not in the road and was on her way to work.
l At 7:37 p.m., a female reported a fire on Highway 39 close to Logan. The Logan Fire Department was dispatched and advised that it was a control burn.
l At 8:41 p.m., a female staying at motel on East Tucumcari Boulevard reported that the business advertised free Internet but she could not get the Internet in the room she was in and requested a refund.
l At 10:06 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a juvenile on a bike taking screens off of a church on McGee Street. The officer advised that it was the parents out playing with their kids.
