05-28-08: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:

Friday
l At 3:40 p.m., a male at an RV park on East Tucumcari Boulevard reported a four wheeler riding too fast through the park and making a lot of dust.
l At 10:35 p.m., a female at a motel on East Tucumcari Boulevard reported that someone had left some rabbits in a room and she wanted them picked up.

Saturday
l At 10:20 a.m., an anonymous caller reported a fight in progress on North Mountain Road.
l At 12:00 p.m., Tucumcari Police made a routine traffic stop and discovered the driver was driving on a suspended drivers license.
l At 1:03 p.m., an anonymous caller at a business on East Tucumcari Boulevard reported three juveniles had stolen several items.
l At 4:06 p.m., a male reported the occupants of a vehicle throwing water balloons at people on South Saratoga Street.
l At 5:43 p.m., a male called Logan Police Department to aid in finding someone whose family member was ill.
l At 6:39 p.m., a female reported an intoxicated male was trying to harm her.
l At 8:20 p.m., a caller reported trespassers on the railroad tracks on North Fifth Street and Railroad Avenue.
l At 9:41 p.m., a male called to report two male subjects in an empty house on South Tenth Street.
l At 9:01 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a fight at a campground at Ute Lake. The Logan Police Department was notified.
l At 9:43 p.m., an officer from Ute Lake State Park reported a possible drunk driver at a campground near the lake.
l At 9:54 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a fight involving several people in the area of East Rankin and Jackson streets.

Sunday
l At 9:36 a.m., a female on South Adams Street called to report that her windshield had been broken.
l At 1:05 p.m., a female at a business on South First Street reported a juvenile who had stolen a case of beer and was running north towards Washington Street.
l At 10:20 p.m., a male called to report that his neighbors were setting off explosions at a residence in Logan. The Logan Police Department was notified.
At 10:22 p.m., a Logan Police officer reported that he had made a routine traffic stop and arrested one male for DWI.

Monday
l At 11:00 a.m., Tucumcari Police Officers made a traffic stop and discovered methamphetamines and syringes in the vehicle.
l At 1:00 p.m., A female called to report an attempted armed robbery at a business on South First Street. She reported that it was two males. Officers advised that all businesses were notified including some businesses in Logan.
l At 1:58 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a fight at the city pool on West Hines Street.
