04-11-09: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

Tuesday
l At 10:51 a.m., a male reported to the Quay County Sheriff’s Office that the door had been kicked in at a residence the caller is taking care of for a friend on Highway 104. The caller requested that a deputy meet him at the residence.
l At 11:21 a.m., an anonymous caller reported to the Quay County Sheriff’s Office that a vehicle and a butane tank had been graffitied with black spray paint on Walnut Street in San Jon.
l At 5:06 p.m., a male reported that his trailer had been broken into at an RV park on Mountain Road.
l At 7:47 p.m., a female reported an accident with injuries on State Highway 104. The caller said a truck had rolled over and hit a tree head on. An ambulance and rural fire units were dispatched.
l At 8:33 p.m., a male reported that a pole had been pulled out of the ground at his shop on east Tucumcari Boulevard.
l At 10:15 p.m., a male came to the Tucumcari Police Department to report that some tires had been stolen.
l At 11:58 p.m., an officer advised that someone had “toilet- papered” a building on east Main Street. The officer advised that he and another officer were taking it down.

Wednesday
l At 11:10 a.m., a female came to the Tucumcari Police Department to report possible fraud and theft of services from a business on east Main Street.
l At 1:55 p.m., the Bard-Endee Rural Fire Unit received a report of a fire at the old motel in Glen Rio. A fire unit from Adrian, Texas, was sent to mile marker 370 on Interstate 40 to assist.
l At 3:41 p.m., a male employee reported a shoplifter at a business on west Tucumcari Boulevard. The caller said they had detained the subject at the business.
l At 8:26 p.m., an anonymous female reported that a female and two male juveniles were throwing rocks at a building on west Sunset Avenue.

Thursday
l At 7:10 a.m., a male on south Third Street reported that his son had hit him with brass knuckles and fled the scene.
l At 3:28 p.m., a male reported that a vehicle had struck his unoccupied truck on west Estrella Avenue.
l At 7:48 p.m., a male reported that a window had been broken on a building on east Route 66 Boulevard. The caller requested an officer meet him at the location.
