05-17-08: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.  According to reports:

Tuesday
l At 7:27 a.m., a female on South Third Street called to report a big dog in front of her door that was not moving.
l At 1:44 p.m., a male at a business on West Tucumcari Boulevard called to report windows being shot out again.
l At 2:14 p.m., a male on South Fifth Street reported that someone had vandalized a residence.
l At 4:25 p.m., a female at a business on South First Street reported the occupants of a maroon 4-door  vehicle, with tinted windows, had stolen three 18-packs of beer.
l At 4:37 p.m., a male at a business on East Tucumcari Boulevard reported that a male subject paid for gas with a roll of dimes that contained pennies. Officers advised that they contacted the subject and escorted him back to pay the difference. 

Wednesday
l At 10:37 a.m., a male subject reported that windows had been broken   on South College Street.
l At 1:01 p.m., a female reported a hit and run on Gamble Avenue between First and Second streets. There were no injuries.
l At 3:50 p.m., a female reported that a male subject, with a no-trespass order, was at an apartment complex on West Sunset Road.
l At 5:51 p.m., multiple callers reported a male subject hanging over the edge of the overpass on South Mountain Road at exit 333. Officers advised that his mother picked him up.
l At 7:43 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a domestic dispute on East Aber Street.
l At 8:48 p.m., a female reported that  a male subject was loading up items in the back of a truck at a business on South Second Street. Officers advised that the products belongs to the subject and he was just picking them up.

Thursday
l At 12:21 a.m., a female on East Laughlin Street reported that a male subject had attacked her and was walking down the alley between Laughlin and Hancock streets.
l At 7:28 a.m., a female on East Center Street reported that her daughter took her car without permission and she wanted to report it as stolen.
l At 10:21 a.m., a Tucumcari Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on South First Street and discovered the subject had a warrant out of Magistrate Court.
l At 6:08 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a fire on South Second Street. Officers advised that it was a BBQ.
l At 10:05 p.m., a male called Logan Police Department to report that he had been assaulted while at a business in Logan.
l At  11:53 p.m., an anonymous caller on South Seventh Street reported that two juveniles were lighting small fires in their yard.

Friday
l At 2:08 a.m., a male  reported an old ice plant near Mosquero was on fire. The Las Vegas State Police were notified and the Harding County Fire Department responded.
