07-04-09: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

Tuesday
l At 2:21 a.m., a female reported a theft from a fuel station on south First street. An officer was told that a gas skip had occurred.
l At 2:32 a.m., a female reported a fight at a residence on west Sunset Avenue. An officer made contact with the parties and separated them for the night.
l At 8:20 a.m., a female reported a burglary at a residence on west Sunset Avenue. An officer was told that the apartment had been broken into over the night.
l At 12:32 p.m., a male walked into the TPD and reported a fight between juveniles.
l At 2:55 p.m., a female reported harassment at a residence on west Douglas Street.
l At 3:25 p.m., a female reported an assault on south fifth Street. One male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center.
l At 7:22 p.m., a male reported a possible prowler at a church on south First Street. An officer advised that all was OK.
l At 7:53 p.m., a female went into the TPD and reported a possible drunk driver on west Tucumcari Boulevard.
l At 8:24 p.m., a female reported a theft at her residence on west Sunset Avenue.
l At 11:24 p.m., a female subject reported a domestic dispute at a residence on South Eighth Street.

Wednesday
l At 12:10 a.m., a female requested a welfare check at a residence on east High Street. The female told the officer she was trying to get ahold of her roommate but he was not answering.
l At 7:38 a.m., a male reported a stolen vehicle from a residence on Quay Road AG. An officer located the vehicle and advised that a juvenile was driving. The vehicle was returned to the owners.
l At 8:26 a.m., a female reported an unwanted subject at a residence on west High Street. The female told the officer that a male subject was trying to start a fight with her son. The male subject was arrested for an out standing magistrate Ccourt warrant. The male subject was taken to the Quay County Detention Center.
l At 11:51 a.m., a female reported vandalism at a residence on south Rock Island Street. An officer advised that a window had been shot with a BB gun.
l At 2:12 a.m., a female reported vandalism of a vehicle on west Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer advised that the vehicle had been keyed.
l At 9:30 p.m., a female reported a prowler at a residence on south Tenth Street. An officer was told that someone was banging on the windows of the residence. The officer advised they patrolled the area all was OK.
l At 10:30 p.m., a male reported vandalism of a residence on east Rankin Street. An officer advised that a window on the north side of the residence had been broken.

Thursday
l At 3:24 a.m., a female reported people drinking and being loud outside an apartment building on west Sunset Avenue.
l At 8:35 a.m., a male reported that a red pickup truck had driven through his yard and knocked down some trees on south Fourth Street.
l At 9:31 a.m., a male walked into the TPD and reported that his windows had been shot out. 
l At 3:27 p.m., the Department of Motor Vehicles reported two females who were presenting fraudulent documents in an attempt to get proof of residency. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office was notified and an officer advised the female subjects would be picked up by ICE.
l At 3:52 p.m., a male reported that a female subject had stolen a male subject's phone from a residence on east Smith Street.
l At 4:11 p.m., a female reported a breaking and entering incident on north Adams Street. An officer was told that the front door of her residence was pried open and groceries and three boxes had been stolen.
l At 4:51 p.m., the Ute Lake State Park office received a report of people in a red and white boat with a red canopy who were stranded on the water.
