Clovis Christian's Douma places eighth

LAS CRUCES — Clovis Christian junior Lauren Douma shot a score of 101 in Tuesday’s second round of the Class 1A-3A state golf tournament and finished in sole possession of eighth place.

Douma, the lone CCS representative at state, improved her score by four strokes from Monday’s first round to finish at 206.

Socorro, led by individual champion Kayla Cline, rolled to the team title with a score of 758.
