Two athletes were inducted into the Longhorn Hall of Fame and Logan Schools' athletes and coaches were recognized Tuesday night for their contributions at the Logan Booster Club's Longhorn Sports Banquet.

"Tonight we get together to honor our athletes and coaches, and recognize their achievements and hard work over the last year," said T. J. Smith, president of the booster club.

Delani Hazen and Klint Rodgers were inducted into the Longhorn Hall of Fame after being selected for the North/South games.
Each year New Mexico high school coaches select outstanding senior athletes from around the state to participate in the All Star games.

Hazen will be in Gallup on May 31 for the North/South basketball tournament and Rodgers will compete on the North/South eight-man football team in Ruidoso the same day.

"I'm extremely proud of her," said Hazen's mom, Rachelle Hazen.  "Basketball is her passion."
Pete Walls was declared the Longhorn fan of the year.
The $1,000 first prize for the booster club's "Tour de France" fundraiser was won by T.J. Smith.

Thirteen students will leave Thursday for a weeklong educational tour of Paris, France.
"We had a lot of fun this year both in football and basketball, and we'll be working hard all summer to get ready for next year," coach Billy Burns said.
