Ministry moves location

QCS staff The Ministry of Hope has moved to a new location at 105 East Railroad Avenue, east of the Train Depot. They are accepting donations, just no mattresses or furniture. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays.

County commission meeting venue moved

QCS staff The Quay County Board of Commissioners’ regular scheduled meeting for 9 a.m., on Feb. 13 will be held at the Extension Service Office at 216 East Center Street.

QCS Staff The victim of a June 1 shooting in Tucumcari died Monday night following weeks in intensive care. Howard Russell King, 45, died at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, said Donald Schutte, family attorney.
