Girl Scouts collect newspapers

The Tucumcari Girl Scouts will be holding a newspaper drive Saturday, Sept. 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mesalands Community College on 11th Street. Representatives of the Girl Scouts said they encourage anyone with old newspapers to drop them off so they can be recycled.

Jennifer Sons Arnold, 47, died April 5, 2004 at New Mexico Regional Medical Center in Albuquerque following an extended illness. Arnold was born Dec. 2, 1956 in Lubbock.
