  • Improvements for wells approved

    Grants were approved Wednesday at a special session of the City Commission from the Water Trust Board for improvements of three water wells at five mile park. For infrastructure improvements and upgrades, Resolution 2012-43, the city was awarded $50,000 with the city budgeting its 10 percent share of $5,000 for upgrades to the east end of Tucumcari. Some 1,500 feet of bad sewer line will be repaired in this project.... Full story

    The following is a sampling of calls received by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. Friday - At 12:02 a.m., an alarm was reported at a business on the 100 block of S. First Street. - At 10:04 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on the 200 block of S. Highway 54. A man and woman were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and both taken to the Quay County Detention Center. - At 12:51 p.m.,, a woman reported a fight at a park on the 600 block of W.
