Tucumcari is one of two 2A schools that competes in the 3A class, and have trained with 10 pre-tournament meets. “I am proud when you qualify the whole team,” Tucumcari coach Eddie Encinias said. “It is something special.” The state tournament is set for Friday and Saturday at the Santa Ana Star Center.     Freedom New Mexico Some more dollars may be flowing toward the Eastern New Mexico Rural Water System, with a $1.978 million federal allocation in President Obama's 2013 budget. That money makes $2.978 million in commitments to the pipeline project, which would deliver water from the Ute Reservoir in Quay County to entities that make up the Eastern New Mexico Water Utility Authority.     Recently, I received a story and pictures from Pat Heasley McDaniel, who now lives in Austin, Texas. The story, entitled “The Family of J.W. Bullington,” was written by her mother, Stella Bullington Heasley in 1977 and was just recently discovered by her younger daughter, Dandy.
