    The New Mexico Department of Agriculture's seed lab has identified 224 foreign seed packets that were mailed unsolicited to residents. Four packets contained seeds that are noxious to the state. NMDA received reports beginning July 24 of residents who were mailed unsolicited foreign seeds not clearly labeled as seeds. If you are the recipient of one of these seed packets, do not plant them.   • Peaches being recalled

    Prima Wawona of Fresno, California, is voluntarily recalling its Wawona Organic brand conventional and organic bagged peaches because they could be contaminated with salmonella. The peaches were distributed to 34 states but not New Mexico. However, Susann Mikkelson, family and consumer science extension agent in Quay County, flagged the recall because the peaches were distributed to Texas and thus may affect eastern New Mexico customers.     Tucumcari Municipal Airport is receiving a $2.8 million Federal Aviation Administration grant for taxiway rehabilitation. Ten airports in New Mexico received more than $13.6 million in grants for infrastructure improvements and redevelopment, according to a joint news release Monday from U.S. Send.     Quay County saw one confirmed coronavirus case Thursday in the Logan ZIP code. The latest case was a person age 30 to 39, according to data from the New Mexico Department of Health website. The total number of cases in Quay County since the pandemic began was 63. Thirty-two cases have come from Tucumcari, 29 from Logan and four from San Jon.
