Student of the month

Lamm

Kassi Lamm has been named teenagers or student of the month, it was announced today by the Elk's Lodge. Kassi Lamm, 16, is the daughter of Robert and Jodi Lamm of Tucumcari.. She is a sophomore at Tucumcari High School.

The teenager or student of the month program is sponsored by the Elks Lodge in an effort to bring recognition to outstanding youth in the area.

Teenagers or student of the month are selected by a panel of youth in each participating high school within the jurisdiction of the sponsoring lodge.

Multiple achievement, citizenship, scholarship and leadership are the basis for selecting teenagers or students of the month.

Students are nominated monthly by classmates and teachers in their schools and then screened by a school student committee for selection as the teenager or student of the month.

Nominations for subsequent months' teenager or student will be accepted after the first Monday of each month.

Kassi has been active in volleyball, church, baby sitting, FCCLA, CCD and volunteer at CCD. Scholastically, she has an average grade of 4.13: advance in all MAP's (short cycle assessment) scores, Advanced Placement and pre-AP courses, gifted program.

Upon graduation. Kassi hopes to attend NMSU to become a Engineer.
