Senior fitness program offered

The Quay County Extension Service and Mesalands Community College will offer the Strong Seniors Stay Young Program, an exercise program for middle-aged and older men and women in Tucumcari, starting Aug. 28.

The 12-week session will be offered 9 a.m.-10 a.m Tuesdays and Thursdays at the college, and will be led by MCC Fitness Center Director Tom Morris and Quay County Home Extension Economist Brenda Bishop.

Information and registration packets are available at the extension office, 216 E. Center St. Registration is $20 and requires a doctor's release, with both due prior to the start of classes. Previous students do not need a doctor's release, but must contact the extension office to reserve a spot. The class is limited to 25 people.
