Commissioner approve roofing bid

The Quay County Commissioners met in regular session at 9 a.m., Friday at the Quay County Courthouse.

  • Commissioners accepted a roofing bid for Rural Fire Department 13-01. The project should be done by mid-November said Donald Adams, county fire marshal. Adams said the fire truck for this station is currently being housed at the sub-station.
  • Approved the 2012-2013-library board budget of $1,500. Judy Ross was appointed as the county representative for the library board
  • Approved a resolution adopting the Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan. Darla Munsell, Quay County Community Development Block Grant coordinator, and Waylond Oliver, of Engineers, Inc, presented the plan.
  • Approved a CDBG Project Quay Road 64 bid award to Blue Collar Construction out of Albuquerque. County crews have been hauling sand out of QR 64, putting culverts in for preparation to lay asphalt for this project said Larry Moore, county roads superintendent.
  • Approved amended 2012 tax rates for the San Jon district.
  • Richard Primrose, county manager, asked commissioners to recognize Patsy Gresham/Chamber of Commerce for her excellent work in putting together the booth for the State Fair.
  • Approved indigent claims minutes for August 27.
  • Approved September indigent claims.
  • All accounts payables will be paid.
  • The Tucumcari High Class of 2013 will not be charged for its class party at the fair barn.
