Dressed as his favorite superhero, Jacob Olivas knocks a golf ball through the pumpkins mouth to win a prize Saturday at the VFW Post 2528's fall carnival.

Susan Lease, coordinator of the event, said she estimated there were 750 to 1,000 children that participated in games set up at the carnival, according to the amount of treat bags that were given away.

Lease said many of the businesses in town made donations to help buy the candy.
