School election filings to open

The Quay County Clerk will be conducting 2013 school elections for Tucumcari, Logan, San Jon and House school districts.

Filing day for all interested candidates is Dec. 18 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the county clerk's office.

Positions for open for election:

• Tucumcari, District 2 and three - four-year term.
• Logan, Position 3, remainder of the four-year term, Position 4 and 5, 4 year term.
• San Jon, Positions 1, 3 and 4, House, Positions 3,4 and 5, four-year term.

To vote in upcoming school board elections you must be registered on or before Jan. 8, 2013.
