Food baskets

On Dec. 22, approximately 40 Elks members met at the Tucumcari Elks Lodge and prepared and delivered 112 Christmas Food Baskets for Quay County area needy families.

Fifty-six family households were recipients of the Christmas food baskets. Each household received two food baskets.

Elks volunteers filled boxes with various food items. A big thank you to Exalted Ruler Chris Sandoval, PER, and his wife Bobbie for all of their help. And to all the Elk volunteers, a big Thank you.

Also, thanks to the Past Exalted Rulers' Association for their

generous financial contribution as well as the contributions from the Lodge and to all of the Elks members who donated food items and financial assistance.

Christmas party

Approximately 150 children and parents attended the annual Elks Lodge Kids' Christmas Party at the Tucumcari Elks Lodge on Dec. 23.

All of the children visited with Santa Claus and all received gifts, candy bags and all ate a delicious meal.

A big thanks to Kids' Christmas Party Chairman Chris Sandoval, PER and his wife Bobbi and all of their great committee members for a job well done in organizing this awesome event for the youth of our lodge and for our invited guests.
