Altrusa distributes scholarship applications

Applications for the Altrusa International of Tucumcari scholarship are now available. One $400 scholarship will be awarded to one graduating senior from House, Logan, San Jon, and Tucumcari High Schools. One $400 scholarship will also be awarded to a deserving student who is currently enrolled, or plans to enroll at Mesalands Community College.

The scholarships will be awarded based on academic performance, need, the desire to attend college, and leadership as demonstrated by activities, community service, and honors. All applications must be mailed to Altrusa by March 30. For an application, please see your high school counselor or financial aid advisor.

Livestock association offering scholarship

The Northeastern New Mexico Livestock Association is offering a $500 scholarship to a graduating high school senior or a university undergraduate student. The student must have a livestock background and must reside in one of the following counties: Mora, San Miguel, Harding, Colfax, Quay or Union.

If you are a high school senior, application forms have been sent to your school counselors. Please inquire at your earliest convenience. If you are currently enrolled in a college or university and wish to receive a scholarship form please contact:

Application submittals require a postmark of no later than April 15.
