Growing up in eastern New Mexico to be discussed at Historical Institute meeting; ticket deadline Friday

Two lifetime eastern New Mexico residents, both living in Tucumcari, will share insights on growing up on the plains at the Tucumcari Historical Research Institute’s annual membership meeting and dinner Monday night, according to an event flyer from the historical group.

The main speakers, Craig Currell and Mike Lucero, will talk about their experiences growing up in eastern New Mexico, the flyer said.

Annual dues are $20 per family, or $10 per individual. In addition, there is a $10 for the dinner that must be paid for by 3 p.m. Friday, according to the flyer.

No money will be accepted at the door. Seats will be available for those who paid in advance, the flyer said.
