Portions of Quay County under a Tornado and thunderstorm warning

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a tornado watch until 9 p.m. Friday for Curry, De Baca and Roosevelt counties.

All three counties, and Quay County, are also part of a Tornado warning until 5:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque reported a storm 17 miles west of Nara Visa capable of producing a tornado at 5:10 p.m.
