Mesalands to host free legal consultation event

Mesalands Community College will host a legal fair on Sept. 20 at the North American Wind Research and Training Center.

Attorneys and civil legal service providers will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to answer civil legal questions and provide free general consultations in the following areas : family law and estates and wills, guardianships and public benefits, bankruptcy and foreclosure, landlords and tenants, and immigration and employment.

This event is presented by the State Bar of New Mexico Legal Programs and Services Committee, the Tenth Judicial District Pro Bono Committee, and the Volunteer Attorney Program of New Mexico Legal Aid.
