Real estate agents, lenders, contractors, potential homeowners and others interested in housing issues are encouraged to attend a meeting of the Northeast New Mexico Housing Task Force on Tuesday at the Tucumcari Convention Center, according to Ernie Watson, U.S. Department of Agriculture rurual development representative.
The meeting is sponsored by USDA Rural Development.
The session will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will begin with a general welcome gathering, then participants will separate for breakout sessions at 9:30 a.m., Watson said.
Subjects covered in the breakout sessions will include making clients credit-worthy; making homes energy efficient; home rehabilitation, and how to apply for a Mortgage Finance Authority or USDA Rural Development home loan, Watson said.
Another series of breakout sessions will begin at 11 a.m.
From 12:30 to 1 p.m., panelists will be available for one-on-one talks with individuals.
