The (12-1) Logan Lady Longhorns will play a district game Saturday against the (8-3) Melrose Lady Buffaloes, the only team to beat them so far this season.

“Our only loss is to the Buffaloes at our tournament in Logan,” said Robert Young, Lady Longhorns’ head coach.

Young said the team had a great match with the Santa Rosa Lady Lions, beating them in four sets. He said they lost the second set to the Lady Lions after errors in serving gave them an early lead.

“I was proud of how they fought back in the second set,” Young said. “They showed great poise in not giving up and only lost the match by two points.”

Young said the Lady Longhorns have been improving as the season has progressed and is pleased on how they have developed their passing to allow them to set up attacks from any spot on the floor allowing them to set the tempo of the game.
