The (6-7) (0-1) Tucumcari Rattlers will be seeking their first district win Thursday against the (0-10) Lady Tigers at Raton.

The Lady Rattlers made some great progress and played tough at the Santa Fe Indian tournament this last weekend, said Lawrence Sena, Lady Rattlers head coach.

Sena said the team got to play against some tough teams including Taos and the Lady Tigers during the tournament. He said the team has been able to work on their passes to change their game into more of an aggressive offensive attack.

“We are not just going to be waiting on defense for these teams, we are setting our selves up to attack and be the aggressor in these matches.”

Game Time: 6 p.m., Thursday at Raton

The (12-2) Logan Lady Longhorns lost their first district match to the Melrose Lady Buffaloes Saturday at Melrose.
