Quay County 4-H Recognizes Excellence with the Golden Clover Awards during their Annual Achievement Program. This celebration occurred on November 23, at the Quay County Fair Grounds.
4-H members were recognized with a completion pin for the years they have been in 4-H if they completed their projects. They were also provided the opportunity to have their project record books judged and be awarded pins for placing within set point requirements. Some special awards are also given to special people and businesses.
Honorary Memberships are given to those people whom the council feels have gone above and beyond the call of duty in supporting the 4 H program over the years 2014 recipients are: Lane Bradley, Phillip Box and Ruth Nelson.
Meritorious Service Awards are given to those businesses and groups, which the council feels have given a lot to the 4 H program over the past few years. The recipients are Lowe’s Ace Hardware, Shipley Systems, and Logan Gun Club
The Friend of 4-H Award is an award that was created to honor people who have continued to give to the Quay County 4-H Program even after their children are out of the program. This year’s recipients are Bob Frost and Rick Thompson.
Parent/Leader of the Year Award was presented to Tim Clark from the Wranglers 4-H Club
Year Completion Awards go to all of the 4-Hers that met the criteria for finishing at least one 4-H project
