Only District 5 will be contested in Mesalands election

The only contested seat in the Mesalands Community College board election March 3 will be in District 5, where incumbent Liz Estrada will face Jim Keith.

For the other two board seats to be voted on, only the incumbents filed their candidacy today. They are James Streetman, District 1, and Teresa Stephenson, District 3.

The voting districts correspond to those of the Tucumcari Municipal School District.

All terms are six years.
