Police Blotter— April 6-7

The following is a sampling of calls received by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

April 6

• 7:57 a.m., an alarm was reported at an office on the 300 block of East Washington Avenue. An officer advised all was OK.

• 9:19 a.m., a woman reported vandalism at the elementary school on the 1700 block of South Ninth Street.• 1:12 p.m., a woman reported a theft at a motel on the 400 block of East Route 66.

• 5:14 p.m., a woman reported a suspicious man at a house on the 1000 block of East Whitmore Avenue. An officer advised the man had left the area prior to their arrival.

• 6:34 p.m., a man reported harassment at a fuel station on the 100 block of East U.S. Highway 54.

• 7:14 p.m., a woman reported an unwanted man at a residence on the 1400 block of East Heman Avenue. An officer advised the man was told to leave.

• 7:34 p.m., a woman reported threats on the 400 block of West High Avenue. An officer advised they made contact with the woman and she told them everything was fine.

April 7

• 11:12 a.m., Jeannie Benavidez was arrested for two warrants and an probation violation on the 1200 block of South Second Street. Benavidez was taken to the Quay County Detention Center.

• 7:03 p.m., a woman reported an unwanted man at a fuel station on the 3900 block of South Mountain Road. An officer advised the man was told to leave.

• 8:07 p.m., a man walked into the Police Department on the 200 block of East Center Street to report harassment.

• 11:52 p.m., a woman reported a theft at a motel on the 3400 block of East Route 66.
