Archers compete locally

Thirty-seven shooters to part in Saturday’s 3D archery shoot along the Ute Lake Nature Trail in Logan.

This event was hosted by the Friends of Ute Lake and Quay County 4-H Shooting Sports Program.

Volunteers from both organizations and the Ute Lake State Park, set up 50 animal targets along the scenic 1 1/2 mile trail.

Shooters walked along the trail shooting at each target trying to get closest to the bullseye imprinted on the target.

They were competing for prize money.

A money shoot was held with the winner receiving half of the take.

Delk won the adult challenge

Knight won the youth challenge

The day ended with door prizes provided by Friends of Ute Lake.
