Tucumcari man arrested for attempted sexual assault of a 64-year old woman

link Felix Gonzales remains in the Quay County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash bond. Gonzales was arrested Aug. 11 for the attempted sexual assault of a Tucumcari woman.

A 33-year old Tucumcari man was arrested on Aug. 11 for the attempted sexual assault of a 64-year-old woman he held captive in a vehicle on a Quay County road.

Felix Gonzales is charged with two felonies; attempted criminal sexual penetration and false imprisonment. He also has been charge with misdemeanor battery.

According to court documents, at 8 p.m., on July 29, Gonzales was driving a pickup truck on Quay Road 64.7 with the 64-year old woman who he was giving a ride home from a friend’s house. He allegedly stopped at the intersection of QR 64.7 and AO and parked the truck. The woman said Gonzales allegedly grabbed the back of her head tried to force her to perform oral sex.

Gonzales was booked into the Quay County Detention Center where he remains on $25,000 cash bond.
