City’s new ordinance working

A proclamation declaring Sept. 12-23 as Constitution Week as signed by Tucumcari Mayor Robert Lumpkin during Thursday night’s city commission meeting.

City Manager Jared Langenegger also told Tucumcari city commissioners Thursday that residents have responded well to the new weed ordinance code and a lot of work has been done on city property that were in need of cleanup.

Langenegger also said the city was accepted into the New Mexico Department of Transportation hardship vehicle auction. He said the city has received $25,000 to spend on equipment.

Other items before the commission:

• Mayor Robert Lumpkin signed a proclamation declaring Sept. 12-23 as Constitution Week.

• Deferred $70,000 of water revenue for the RAD (What is RAD?).

• Approved a request for diagonal parking for Sunrise Medical Center, provided officials there follow NMDOT regulations.

• Approved the change order No. 2 for the Metro Well Field Rehab Project.
