Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital welcomes new doctor to staff

Staff Report

Presbyterian Medical Group (PMG) Family Medicine at Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital welcomes Haily C. Lee Wallace, a primary care doctor to the staff of the hospital in Tucumcari.

Wallace joins a staff of four providers offering primary care services, including family medicine and pediatric care.

“We are excited to welcome Haily to our team,” said Darrell Willis, medical director at Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital. “Her interest in rural medicine and women’s health will be a great fit for this community.”

Wallace attended the University of New Mexico where she received a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry and molecular biology while also running track for the UNM Lobos. She went on to earn her medical degree from the University of New Mexico and completed her family medicine residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Amarillo, Texas. She has been recognized as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and is Board Certified in Family Medicine.

“I grew up in McAlister, New Mexico and attended school at House Municipal Schools, which is about 45 miles south of Tucumcari,” Wallace said. “I was raised on a five generation family ranch and spent most of my youth caring for animals, moving cattle and driving tractors. I was very active in basketball, volleyball, track, Future Farmers of America and Business Professionals of America. This lifestyle and living in a rural area taught me a lot about healthcare disparities. I am thrilled to be working at Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital in the Presbyterian Medical Group clinic and happy to have returned home to care for the people in this community.”
