Police Blotter/Jail Log— Sept. 23

The following is a sampling of calls received by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.

Sept. 14

• 8:38 a.m., a man reported a theft from a vehicle at a hotel on the 800 block of West Route 66.

• 8:57 a.m., an alarm was reported at a residence on the 1400 block of South First Street. An officer advised that all was OK. They spoke with the residents, who said their son had entered the residence and did not know the code.

• 9:03 a.m., a man reported a burglary of a vehicle on the 1000 block of East Main Street.

• 9:53 a.m., a man reported a burglary at a residence on the 600 block of South Third Street. An officer was told that the residence was broken into while the resident was gone for the weekend.

• 10:15 a.m., an alarm was reported at a restaurant on the 800 block of South First Street. An officer advised all was OK.

• 10:31 a.m., a man walked into the Police Department on the 200 block of East Center Street to report harassment.

• 12:33 p.m., a woman reported an unwanted man at a residence on the 1900 block of South Eighth Street.

• 2:18 p.m., a woman reported a shoplifter at a retail store on the 100 block of West Route 66. Elia Mendoza, 51, was arrested for concealing identity, shoplifting and tampering with evidence. Mendoza was taken to the Quay County Detention Center.

• 7:16 p.m., a woman reported suspicious activity at a residence on the 600 block of South Monroe Street. An officer was told that there was a spot of grass burnt in the back yard of the residence and drug paraphernalia was found across the street.

• 10:55 p.m., a woman reported a prowler in the backyard of a residence on the 1300 block of South Fourth Street. An officer advised all was OK.

Sept. 15

• 9:19 a.m., a man walked into the PD on the 200 block of East Center Street to report a dispute.

• 10:07 a.m., a woman reported a shoplifter at a retail store on the 100 block of East Route 66.

• 11:16 a.m., a man walked into the PD on the 200 block of East Center Street to report fraud.

• 10:09 p.m., a woman reported a suspicious man on the 700 block of West Sunset Avenue. An officer advised all was OK.

Sept. 16

• 4:41 a.m., a 911 hang-up call was reported at a residence on the 200 block of North Fifth Street. An officer advised all was OK, there was no one at the residence.

• 7:23 a.m., a woman reported a burglary of a vehicle on the 1200 block of South Third Street. The woman told the officer her purse was stolen from the vehicle.

• 6:59 p.m. a woman reported a shoplifter at a retail store on the 100 block of West Route 66.

• 10:23 p.m., a woman reported two suspicious men on the 1700 block of South Sixth Street. An officer advised they patrolled the area and the men had left the area prior to their arrival.

Sept. 17

• 12:47 a.m., a woman reported hearing someone in the back yard of a residence on the 500 block of South Sixth Street. An officer advised they patrolled the area and all was OK.

• 2:49 a.m., a man reported an assault at a residence on the 100 block of East Main Street.

• 11:38 a.m., a woman reported harassment at a residence on the 500 block of East Rankin Avenue.

• 3:03 p.m., Jesse Lunn, 27, was arrested for a warrant on the 600 block of East Route 66. Lunn was taken to QCDC.

• 4:19 p.m., an alarm was reported at a residence on the 1600 block of South Fifth Street. An officer advised all was OK.

• 5:24 p.m., June Ysco, 33, was arrested for a probation violation on the 1600 block of South First Street. Ysco was taken to QCDC.

Sept. 18

• 12:53 a.m., a woman reported two suspicious men in the alley on the 1200 block of South Monroe Street. An officer advised they made contact with the men and all was OK.

• 4:18 a.m., an alarm was reported at a residence on the 7000 block of Surrey Point. A deputy advised that all was OK.

• 8:34 a.m., an alarm was reported at a residence on the 2400 block of South 11 Street. An officer advised all was OK.

• 10:58 a.m., a man reported an unwanted man at a residence on the 500 block of East High Avenue. An officer advised the man left the residence.

• 1:41 p.m., a woman reported a theft at a residence on the 400 block of East Rankin Avenue. The woman told the officer that someone was taking the mail out of the mail box.

The following individuals were booked into the Quay County Detention Center Sept. 12 - Sept. 18.

• Elia Mendoza, 51, concealing identity, shoplifting, tampering with evidence

• Jamie Allman, 37, warrant

• Jesse Lunn, 27, warrant

• June Ysco, 33, probation violation

The following individuals were released from the Quay County Detention Center Sept. 12 - Sept. 18.

• Lela Ross, 29, bond

• Frank Gallegos, 63, bond

• Benjamin Eddy, 42, probation

• Joseph Gniadek, 51, time served

• Vincent Gonzales, 33, transferred to the department of corrections

• Miguel Soria, 33, transferred to the department of corrections
