The Logan Lady Longhorns are the second seed in the 2A state volleyball tournament, despite winning the District 6-2A championship Saturday at Melrose.
District runner-up Melrose received the top seed in the 12-team field this year; 2A pool play and state tournament will be held Thursday through Saturday in Rio Rancho.
With Saturday’s win, the Longhorns have even out the head-to-head series (2-2 ) with Melrose this season.
Both teams move on to bracket play, but pool winners will receive a first-round bye.
