July 5, 2017

The following were actions taken by Quay County commissioners Monday at their regular meeting:

• Approved a resolution for county compliance with the required conditions for participating and using funds from the Community Development Block Grant program.

• Approved the LDWI grant agreement to receive $21,000 for the county’s DWI Compliance program. County Manager Richard Primrose said a request was made for $26,000. He said last year’s allocation was only $1,600.

• Approved the memorandum of understanding between the Quay County Detention Center and 10th Judicial District Court.

Detention Center Administrator TJ Rich said under the MOU, the 10th Judicial District Court will now pay for the urinalysis test required by court’s orders on released/bonded inmates awaiting trial. Rich said the detention center had been covering the cost of the test when the individual was unable to pay.

• Held an executive session to discuss threatened or pending litigation.

No action was taken.
