Lady Rattlers face Clayton in home game

The team is 4-12, 0-2 after 0-3 loss to Santa Rosa.

The Tucumcari Lady Rattlers are coming off a 0-3 loss to the Santa Rosa Lady Lions Thursday at the Snake Pit as they progress through District 5-3A play.

The Lady Rattlers (4-12, 0-2) will be looking for their first district win when they play the Lady Yellowjackets Thursday at the Snake Pit.

“We have to work on the first pass; this will help us be set up the offense for us to be more aggressive,” said Dana Benavidez, Tucumcari head coach.

Benavidez said this is the heart of the season for the Lady Rattlers, every game is a must win if the Lady Rattlers want to move on to the post season.

On Saturday the Lady Rattlers will travel to play first place Santa Rosa.

“We cant look past anyone, every team we play, we have to play with all of our heart,” Benavidez said.
