Rattlers hit the road after bye week

The Tucumcari Rattlers have had a week to prepare for a road trip to Clayton Friday to take on the Yellowjackets in their second District 3-3A contest.

The Rattlers (1-6, 0-1) can not overlook the Yellowjackets (1-7, 1-1) even with their recent 48-8 loss to the Raton Tigers, said Wayne Ferguson, Rattlers head coach.

Ferguson said Clayton has big, athletic kids on their lines. If the Rattlers take care of their responsibilities they will be able to play with the Yellowjackets.
