Quay County Commission

At their July 9 meeting, Quay County commissioners took the following actions:

• Presbyterian Medical Services’s administrator requested the approval of the 2019 Rural Primary Health Care Act. The application is for the funding of the local clinic. The commission approved the application.

• Quay County Detention Center Lt. Chris Birch requested the approval of the two year extension of the Summit Food Service Agreement. Birch said the contract expires in Oct. 2018, and QCDC would like to extend the contract. The commission approved the extension.

Birch requested the approval of the agreement between QCDC and Wellborn Pharmacy for prescription services. The commission approved the agreement.

• Community Development Block Grant Coordinator Darla Munsell requested an amendment to the county’s application to reflect price changes. The commission approved the amendment.

• Quay County Fire Marshall Donald Adams discussed the possibility of a burn ban to be issued for the County. The commission voted to not issue a burn ban at this time.
