Tucumcari man accused in Wyoming shooting

A Tucumcari man is accused of having a role in a shooting at a Wyoming bar and remains jailed on $500,000 cash-only bond.

Andreas Broach, 29, of Tucumcari, and D’Marco Jones, 24, of Detroit, were detained Sept. 22 after being accused of shooting a 51-year-old man in the leg with a 9mm handgun earlier that morning at Mingle’s Lounge in Laramie, Wyoming.

Broach was charged with felony conspiracy to commit first-degree homicide. Jones was charged with felony attempted first-degree murder and felony destruction of property.

According to an affidavit acquired by County 17, a Wyoming-based news outlet, Broach and Jones were involved in a fight in the Mingle’s parking lot when an unidentified woman pointed a handgun at them, called them a racial slur and told them to leave. Broach and Jones left, but soon returned with a handgun from their motel room.

The two later were apprehended at their motel.
