1968: An early first snow of the season fell in Tucumcari and the region. The area received moisture in several different forms the previous night and today - rain, then sleet, then snow. Dave Williams, superintendent of the Northeast Substation at Tucumcari, reported 0.40 inches of moisture. Travis Haynes of Ragland reported 0.76 inches of moisture with some snow on the ground this morning. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Conchas Lake reported 0.22 inches with some snow.
