MCC hosting candidate video conferences

Mesalands Community College will host a series of six online video conferences starting Wednesday through April 14 for its six presidential candidates in which residents can participate.

The college will use the Google Meet platform, and everyone in the community is encouraged to participated. Each session begins at 6 p.m.

After each videoconference session, a link will be provided to collect feedback. That input will be compiled into a report presented to the Mesalands Community College board of trustees to aid in the selection process.

The candidates, listed by alphabetical order, are:

• Gregory Todd Busch, Ed.D., of Oro Valley, Arizona;

• Todd M. Ecklund, Ed.D., of Pueblo, Colorado;

• Laura L. McCullough, Ed.D., of Hurricane, West Virginia;

• Melanie Jones Owen, Ed.D., of Hanford, California;

• Anthony R. Petroy, D.M., of Overland Park, Kansas;

• Randy Smith, Ph.D., of Holdenville, Oklahoma.

A seventh candidate, Gregory South of Terra Bella, California, is no longer being considered for the position, said the college’s chief marketing officer, Josh McVey, on Monday.
