Pecos sweeps twinbill from Lady Longhorns

Pecos swept a doubleheader Friday from the visiting Logan softball team by scores of 19-4 and 7-6.

In the first game, Lizzy Horner had a single and two RBI for the Lady Longhorns.

In the nightcap, Logan was leading 6-4 going into the final half-inning but gave up three runs, including the game-winner with two out.

Bella Coronado hit a three-run, inside-the-park home run in that game.

Pecos improved to 5-4 overall.

Logan, which practically is rebuilding its program after a two-year hiatus, fell to 0-6.

Dora took a doubleheader from visiting Logan by scores of 17-2 and 16-1 on March 28.

Kyra Conway went 2-for-2 with a double, a triple, a stolen base and two runs scored in the first game for the Lady Longhorns.

Conway also drove in Logan’s only run in the second game after Brookel Smith walked in the first inning.

Dora improved to 6-1 overall.
