Eight local ENMU students receive degrees

Eight Quay County residents graduated from Eastern New Mexico University during spring commencement on May 14.

These locals received degrees:

• Bridget Richardson of Tucumcari

• Amanda Hammer of Tucumcari

• Brittany Pulcini of Tucumcari

• Brook Ciemny of Nara Visa

• Evelyn Carreon Reyes of Tucumcari

• Tara Larson of Tucumcari

• Emily Priddy of Tucumcari

The ceremony at Greyhound Arena was the first in-person graduation since the COVID-19 pandemic began in early 2020.

The commencement address was given by 2022 ENMU graduate Lorynn Guerrero, who was named New Mexico Teacher of the Year for her work with students at New America School in Las Cruces.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must complete a minimum of 15 credit hours with a grade-point average of 3.25 or higher.
