DAR gives out annual award

The Tucumcari chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution gave its annual DAR Community Service Award to Diane Morency.

According to a news release from the chapter, Morency was honored due to “her continued community service to the communities of Tucumcari, Logan and San Jon.”

The honor goes “to people who who go out of their way and spend their time unselfishly and tirelessly helping other people and organizations often go unnoticed and unappreciated.”
