Mesalands holds welcome back barbecue

Mesalands Community College welcome back barbecue had a very good turnout by returning and first year students.

Mesalands held their welcome back barbecue Wednesday with a good turnout of returning students and first-year students attending.

  • Jordan Minor, second-year student, is part of the rodeo team in calf roping and team roping. Minor said he hoped to win the Grand Canyon Regional competition again and make the College National Finals Rodeo.
  • Jessie Case, first-year student, is from Estancia. Case said family is why she is at Mesalands this year and is studying business.
  • Jenna Morris, first-year student, lives in Quay County. Morris said she wanted to attend Mesalands to be closer to home and family and is studying to go into the medical field.
