Five players named to all-district volleyball team

Five players from the Class 1A state champion Logan volleyball team recently were named to the all-district team, and two more from Grady/San Jon also received the honor.

Local players who made the 1A District 6 team were:

• Karli Webb, Logan

• Harlie Roach, Logan

• Jordan Hines, Logan

• Cassidy Cordova, Logan

• Emily LeBlanc, Logan

• Leah Starbuck, Grady/San Jon

• Yara Sotelo, Grady/San Jon

The all-district team also included five players from Class 1A runner-up Melrose and two from Fort Sumner.

In Class 3A District 4, five players from Tucumcari made the all-district team. They were:

• Aaliyah Brown, middle blocker

• Jasmine Jones, outside hitter

• Lorin Chavez, middle back

• Kalani French, setter

• Bryanna Arias, libero

Felicity Lopez and Lenora Trujillo were honorable mentions from the Lady Rattlers squad.
