Traffic rolls by on Interstate 40 on Wednesday evening as the lighted "T" on Tucumcari Mountain begins to glow. The city's Lodgers Tax Advisory Board last week recommended spending $5,000 so "Tucumcari" could be spelled out on the mesa's north face.
